"Rome" - This shit is bananas

I just finished watching the second 6 episodes of Rome, Season 1, and I thoroughly enjoyed them, I love all series like this (Rome, Spartacus, Game of Thrones etc).

I did not do History at school and have zero knowledge of roman times and who is who and what went on in regards to power and politics but watching this series really has opened my mind and introduced me to a variety of characters I wasn't all that familiar with whilst also filling me in on WTF actually happened back then.

Obviously I've heard the name "Gaius Julius Caesar" but I wasn't familiar with the likes of "Pompey", "Lucius Vorenus", "Titus Pullo", "Mark Antony","Marcus Junius Brutus", "Octavius/Octavian/Augustus", "Atia of the Julii", "Servilia of the Junii" and the other families, friends and associates of the city of Rome.

There are only 12 episodes in season 1 but each and everyone has a brilliant 45-50 minutes of plots, fights, action, schemes, politics, dirty tricks, backstabbing, you know...the usual romans day to day jibe.

The series primarily chronicles the lives and deeds of the rich, powerful, and "historically significant," but also focuses on the lives, fortunes, families, and acquaintances of two common men: Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo, two Roman soldiers mentioned historically in Caesar's "Commentarii de Bello Gallico".

(English) "Commentaries on the Gallic War" is Julius Caesar's firsthand account of the Gallic Wars, written as a third-person narrative. In it Caesar describes the battles and intrigues that took place in the nine years he spent fighting local armies in Gaul that opposed Roman domination.

The fictionalized Vorenus and Pullo manage to witness and often influence many of the historical events presented in the series.

The first season depicts Julius Caesar's civil war of 49 BC against the traditionalist conservative faction in the Roman Senate (Optimates), his subsequent rise to absolute dictatorship over Rome, and his eventual fall, spanning the time period from the end of his Gallic Wars (52 BC ) until his assassination on 15 March 44 BC (the infamous Ides of March).

I felt really bad for poor Caesar when they did the assassination scene, he got jumped by a group of senators and just got the shit stabbed out of him before being finished off by Brutus, I mean I know he was a bit of a mean bastard and was trying to be the top dog but no man should be put through that!

Against the backdrop of these cataclysmic events, we also see the early years of the young Octavian, who is destined to become the first Emperor of Rome, Augustus. The second season chronicles the power struggle between Octavian and Mark Antony following Caesar's assassination, spanning the period from Caesar's death in 44 BC to Octavian's final victory over Antony at Actium in 31 BC.

I just have to watch Season 2 now to see how everyone gets on, I know it's history and the sort of things I should already know about but as I say, I didn't study any of this at school.

I loved how the characters were developed and each of their stories explained throughout the series, excellently made, brilliant cast and I would have to give it a 10/10...

Here's a bunch of the cast, untagged, watch the series ;)

14 Years Gone - Israel Kamakawiwoʻole

Israel "IZ" Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole; (May 20, 1959 – June 26, 1997) was a Hawaiian musician.

He became famous outside Hawaii releasing his album "Facing Future" in 1993. His medley of "Over the Rainbow" and "What a Wonderful World" was subsequently featured in several films, television programs, and commercials.

Through his ukulele playing and incorporation of other genres (such as jazz and reggae), Kamakawiwoʻole remains one of the major influences in Hawaiian music.

Israel really has had a massive impact on many peoples lives in and out of Hawaii in his life and even after his passing in 1997. I challenge you to find me a single person who can listen to a couple of Israel's songs without a tear forming in one or more eyes.

Throughout his life Israel had weight problems. He was obese to an extreme but this did not stop him from producing music, making people smile and sharing the love, he was a big guy with an even bigger heart.

I think of this guy a lot, his music means a fair bit to me, his songs..his words...he was a very clever and genuine guy he wasn't just some big guy who could play guitar and sing.

I think if he were watching us he would not want us to be sad over his death and feel bad, he would want us to remember his great life, his achievements, the entertainment and smiles he brought to us all, I feel this quote is important to show his outlook on life.

"I was scared when I lost my mother, my father, my brother, my sister, I guess this is gonna sound kind of weird, but I'm not scared for myself for dying. Because I believe all these places are temporary. This is just one shell. Because we Hawaiians live in both worlds. It's in our veins. When our time come, don't cry for me. Don't cry for me. Plant a tree in the middle, where they play soccer, Kind of small, then I'll grow big."

Anyway if you could just take a moment to remember this great guy, listen to a few of his songs and maybe even have a think about family members or even friends you have had to say goodbye to. It is painful to say goodbye but remembering them will always bring a smile to your face, trust me I know, I have lost enough family and friends, it's great to have a little remembrance session every now and then.

My personal favourite songs of his are "White Sandy Beach of Hawai‘i", "Hawai'i '78" and of course "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"

God Speed!

Hard Grafting! - GemCraft Labyrinth

Just thought I would share with you all my hard grafting in the last day! I managed to unlock a shitload of levels and have completed soo many more levels, this game is soo bloody addictive, heres two screen shots of where I was yesterday and where I am today.

Many a Gem have been crafted, many a monster slain!

After many an hour crafting gems and slaying monsters I have opened up a large amount of the map!

Still got a fair bit to do! But I am slowly slowly hacking away at it!

June 25th - Aldi, Pikey and King Kong

My mother picked me up today to take me to Aldi and Iceland so I could get some supplies before heading back to my house in Worcester tomorrow, got me some frozen foods, some pizza, sausages, peas, carrots, juice, and other stuff.

I then took my nans dog for a walk down the rec and played with a cool tennis ball slinger thing, she would chase the ball and bring it back, however she is getting a bit old and has a bad foot (I think) so after 10 minutes or so we just chilled in the sun and she wandered about the rec. Her name is Gypsy, we often just call her Pikey! Here's a few snaps from the rec.

I got back at about half 5, gave gypsy her dinner then sat down to watch King Kong.

Shit me! I had never seen this film before...the part where they land on the "Skull Island" and the little native girl is stood there, Jacky B tries to offer her some chocolate and then shit kicks off a load of natives appear...a big ol' fight ensues, one guy gets speared, a few of the ship crew turn up with pistols and shoot some hoes and scare off the natives.

They return to the ship and start tossing out any shit that isn't tied down in an attempt to get the ship off of the rocks and back out to sea.

One of the natives gets on the ship though and kidnaps Ann! Some freaky shit! And there was me just thinking it was about a huge monkey!

Not to fear though, the ship men have a secret stash of machine guns and rifles on the ship so board the little boats and head off in search for Ann...

She gets tied up as a sacrifice for King Kong! Who is one motherfunking hench Ape! Just as he turns up the rest of the crew turn up and start shooting the shit out of the natives, King Kong picks up Ann and runs off while she screams like a mofo!

"She's Gone"

Jacky B is all "OMGWTFBBQSAUCE" as he was the only one who saw King kong!

The guys head back to the ship and gather supplies and weapons and gear before heading off into the island in search for Ann! There is dinosaurs and everything!

At one point King Kong takes on THREE!! T-Rex's, that Ape is insaaannnnnnnnne!!

I am not going to go through the whole story but dang! It is exciting! I would definitely recommend it for your viewing! The film is over 3 hours long but it is a bloody gooden!

(Gypsy having a little nap after a nice walk and jack black running from dinosaurs on the T.V)

June 24th - Gemcraft, Dippers and Constantine

In the middle of a pretty intense level of Gemcraft, I accidentally stacked the enemies so there was like 3k in one wave and boosted their stats so they have over a million hp and 5k armor...spent like two hours on this level alone.

The fact this one wave has still nearly 2k monsters is is lagging like fook my laptop is soo hot!

I will finish up the blog once I finish the level.

Wowzer that level took forever, check out the points I got for it though haha...

For dinner today I cooked me up some Chicken Dippers, they were amazing geoff! Put them on a plate and swirled salad cream and tomato ketchup over them in a pretty little pattern before nomming the shiz out of them!

It would appear I have tonsillitis or something with similar symptoms, so feeling pretty crappy, oh well it'll pass in a few days.

Watched Constantine this evening which is a fooking amazing film! The story line is ace and the cast is brilliant, they really do go well together to produce an action packed film with fighting and god/devil/good/evil/demons etc etc...it's a great film, have a watch!

June 23 - Kalashnikov, Pizza and Gaming

I made a new header for my blog, took me a fair while to cut out the picture of Bret (Flight of the Conchords) and then put my head on it, was quite fun to fiddle about creating, I thought it would look cool if I was holding a Golden Kalashnikov, I added a pretty xbox picture as well because I love mine.

My friend linked me to this video the other day which made me laugh, I will give you a bit of back story about it, I live with a lad from London called Rob, nicknamed Pet and a Portuguese lad called Luis, nicknamed Cristiano. We always take the piss out of Luis' accent obviously it is only friendly banter, and this Russian guy in the video below reminded us slightly of our Cristiano.

We also love playing zombies on the xbox and for some reason we love saying "Kalashnikov" it is now a term in our house for someone who is being a douche, you simply say "You Kalashnikov!" (in a Russian accent of course)

I am not saying Russian and Portuguese people sound the same but if you knew Cristiano watching this video you could close your eyes for a few seconds and here him say "That was fuckin awesome!"

This Russian guy is a nutter, watch his videos. He has a vast range of weapons and has a pretty decent aim, he has a shit load of videos and I would definitely reccomend you have a browse.

All of his guns are real, the video below made me laugh hard because he proves his gun is real and dishes out a bit of banter about other peoples countries.

I made an epic pizza today! I say made it, it was a pre-made pizza out of a packet but I added a shit ton of ham and cheese on the top before cooking it, it was epic, here is a pic pre-oven.

I kinda forgot to get a pic once it was cooked as it smelt so damn good! Nommed that shiz right up!

Played a bit of Xbox, then GemCraft then spent about an hour playing "Icebreaker" which is a crazily addictive game in which you are vikings and need to save your fellow viking friends from the ice, it's a fun little game anda good thing to help pass the time.

Spent the rest of the day being a lazy ass I guess, according to some ginger I went to college with I need to sort my life out :/ waking up late and doing fuck all in a day is not good and I shouldn't write about it, somehow though I think I will ignore him as I have a nice following on here and you guys usually have something partially interesting to read, I do try!

Hope I haven't let the team down today!

Looks like we got haters!

Howdy folks, turns out my beautiful blog has haters...

One guy in particular, some ginger twat I went to college with, he is a meany! I am pretty sure when I was growing up my parents taught me "If you have nothing nice to say to someone don't say anything" yet this douche feels the need to try slam me on facebook.

He is my age, he is married and has a kid...I hope it doesn't grow up to be a ginger twat like it's dad.

I can't do exciting shit everyday...Sorry to disappoint!

Just had to get it off my chest!

June 22nd - I hate you Will - "Go Die"

Today I woke up at like 8:3AM but it was horrid weather so I dozed back off, it was pretty much pissing it down all morning (unless I was dreaming, in which case...odd dream).

I got up at pretty much noon on the dot and went downstairs for a ham and cheese roll, one of those fresh bakers' rolls not the lame ass packet rolls! Twas epic.

I then lay on the sofa and read "Take a Break" which is not usually for my gender nor my age group but my nan bloody loves it, it is packed with real life stories, peoples problems, puzzles and random things. I wont lie , I actually enjoy reading it.I wouldn't buy it, but I am always keen to pick it up when my nan is done with it and have a browse. One of the stories this week did bring a little tear to my eye, but I wont speak of that!

I then had a nap for like an hour or so before my mum arrived to pick me up, I was headed over for dinner and to look at a pc at hers which wasn't booting.

I turn the PC on, and was baffled at the screen I was shown, something I had never seen before, here is the start-up screen and the error message I was met with.

At first I tried unplugging any USB's and it still failed so I got my screwdriver out and took the casing off, I was met by a cloud of dust and cobwebs when I opened her up. I had a fiddle about and one of the pins connecting something to something else was loose so I forced it back into its slot, I rebooted it...Same problem.

I sighed and took it back downstairs to take apart again, unlike most PC's this one didn't have a USB port in the front however it did have another cable port, so I disconnected that (it looked battered anyway) took it upstairs and it booted fine. Bloody PC's eh! Must be nice to have a son who is good with technology.

Had a nice bit of Sausage Casserole for dinner with peas and puddings then watched two episodes of Hollyoaks with Mum , Chloe and Chelsea.

As we got up to leave Chloe threw the dogs football at me, to try and spark something...I ignored her, picked up the football and took it with me outside so she couldn't throw it at me again, and this is where it all kicked off!

She started screaming, kicking, slapping...I was just stood there waiting for mum to unlock the car so I could get in, I looked to Chloe and said "I'm not giving you the ball" then turned and launched it in the air aiming for our garden, sadly missing, and it landed in next doors but eh, they're a nice bunch and will pass it back, this sent her into an even crazier mode of anger.

She was hitting, kicking and yelling still wishing I was dead, telling me to go away...yet she wouldn't let me get in the car without taking a few hits, I finally managed to get in the car but mum had forgotten her phone so she popped back in the house to grab it and I locked myself in the car, Chloe continued to scream and hit the windows, at one point she was trying to rip open the sun roof, which made me laugh, she was shouting "I am calling the police" to which I replied "To tell them what?" she pressed about 11 numbers on here phone and I commented "it's the three 9's mate..9 9 9 I think you've typed a few too many numbers".

A few pics to document the drama! Maybe in a few years she will read this and realize being a douche isn't clever, it's just an annoyance.

oh and the "IMMA PULL OFF THE ROOF WINDOW!" shot.

The video camera app on my phone is glitched so sadly couldn't video the drama.

Mum finally got her stuff and was back in the car so we were set to go, as we were pulling off chloe gave me one last "Why don't you go and die" before we left for my nans, oh what a pleasant little sister I have.

The rest of my evening will consist of playing xbox and reading up on news and shiz on the lappytap,

God speed fine followers x

June 21st - [Insert witty, yet catchy, title here]

Before I start can I just bring this statement to your attention. A definition of "Witty", by our good friend "Urban Dictionary". (which is pretty much the law, and 100% true and basically the oxford, no?)

"Being clever and funny, making funny quips off the top of your head. Witty people are clever and cool. Hang out with them."

According to this statement, which we have already established is true, people should be hanging out with me more often. See me for details on availability :)

Right back to business, my day....

I woke up at about 11am but my stupid "Throwing-up" muscles were hurting again, I really am not sure what the professional term is for them but eh, they're were hurting a bit this morning still so I slept to pass the day, finally got up at about 3pm and moped about, read up on some news, chatted to my friends, the usual, played a bit of xbox and in general just jammed.

I've decided I will be going back to Worcester on Sunday to my real house where I live with a bunch of other students and where I go to uni, it's a good laugh so cant wait to get back, the plan is to get a job too ASAP so need to keep an eye out that end.

I think it is the Cambridge Universities' end of year balls and shiz over these next few weeks because there has been an awful lot of parties and events and fireworks going off at late hours, really does send our dog mental...

Not much to report today in regards to exciting activities, I watched a bit of the Ricky Gervais Show, which is still bloody hilarious, then watched Bob's Burgers and a bit of Big Bang Theory.

I am now off to bed at a reasonable hour of 1:45 AM and hope to actually do something with my day tomorrow, we shall see!

I bid you farewell,

June 20th - Death, Dinner and 13 Win Streak

I woke up today at about 12am, had a long ass sleep, I wasn't feeling all that great, my stomach/that area was aching a bit, and when I moved it really hurt.

I got up to find my good pal google and did a bit of searching, it turns out the 6am chunder session Sunday morning had put some excessive strain on my "puking" muscles, and I have pulled something..which is bloody annoying.

I received some heartbreaking news shortly after I woke up, which was that Ryan Dunn had passed away in a car accident at early hours.

That part of my blog contains all of the programs, shows, films, dvd's Ryan appeared on, it is indeed a sad day but I hope he will be remembered for the good things he achieved in life, the entertainment he brought to many of us, not the way he went. Thoughts out to his family and friends and all those who knew and loved him.

I had some lush dinner then headed upstairs to play some xbox, managed to rack up a 13 win streak with a bunch of my friends and now I am just chilling watching QI reading news updates and checking out twitter, I made a twitter account a year or two ago but I never used it, apparently it is all the rage now, so feel free to follow me and I promise to twat, twit, however you say it..funny things to you daily!

That's all I've got for today sadly,

<3

Ryan Dunn Dies - I shit you not :/

Ryan and an unknown, unnamed friend, died today in a car crash, this news is utterly heartbreaking, the guy was only young and a great laugh in many shows we've seen growing up with!

He first appeared with the CKY crew back in 1998 through to 2003 before making it big with Jackass and Viva La Bam. He was in a handful of other shows and films, he was a bloody funny guy and a great addition to CKY, Jackass and Viva La Bams team, he will be greatly missed and remembered for all the laughs he provided.

According to the news he died this morning in a car crash , the vehicle was going well over 100 miles an hour,

It's a damn shame, may he rest in peace!

June 19th - Hangover City!

I woke up at like 6am and staggered to the toilet and threw up for a solid 10-15 minutes, great start to the day, then slumped into the tent and dozed off until about 9-10ish.

We got up and were all looking a little worse than we had when we arrived. I guess that's what 7 crates, 20 ciders, bottle of rum and vodka will do to a group of friends.

My brother picked me up at like 12ish and we headed to tesco's to pick up my dad a bottle of wine for fathers day, we popped around our mums quick to say hi, she had our other nan and grandad over so we stayed for a bit and had a little catch up.

We got back to mine at like half four, I was knackered so slumped upstairs and had a little nap, woke up at half six ish, made a card for my dad, had a shower then headed over to deliver it, we chilled at dads for an hour or so and chatted, saw the kids and whatnot, I really wasn't very talkative as I was extremely hungover and tired as heck, got home and finished yesterdays blog and by about 10pm I threw in the towel, had to go to bed.

Saturday 18 June 2011

June 18th - Utterly Bungalowed.

Well well well, where to start?

I slept in til about midday before getting up and showering, making myself all clean and ready for a day/night of drinks and tomfoolery.

Looking after the kids yesterday meant I had bagged myself some rupees so I set off for Aldi to grab some supplies, I ended up grabbing 8 cans of pear cider and 12 cans of regular cider, "Taurus", nicely named, I also bought two packs of mixed gum sweets for 49p which turned out later that day to be complete shite and all tasted the same and not very 'sweet-y'.

Slugged back home and started packing, my bag consisted of what is needed to have a good time, a pair of shorts in case weather was nice, spare top, 20 cans of cider, a bottle of rum, bottle of coke, a blanket and a jacket. Jobs a gooden. I waited for G-unit to get back from visiting my uncle and aunts place to check out the new chickens then asked if I could book a ride in "Pete's Cab's" to Waterbeach, destination Livestock '11

Livestock is (it was my first time there but this is my interpretation of what it is) an event ran by our buddy Abe and his family and friends, they have two large open barns one full of tables and chairs and one with a stage and homemade dance floor, local bands and friends of the host come and play for the crowds.

There is a field for you to camp and you can bring any alcohol and supplies you should need for the day/night. A fee of £5 is charged for entry and dotted around the site there are donation boxes, there is a BBQ in the evening with a "dosh for nosh" box where you contribute towards the donations, the event is to help raise money for charity, I didn't get the name of the charity as I was very drunk but it is all for one of the Leukaemia charities, its a pretty low key event for friends, friends of friends and maybe friends of those friends, it really is a great event to go to, good banter, good music, plenty of booze and fun times all round and the best part is its all for charity, which is great!

I arrived at like half three ish, and we got straight onto the drinking, the deal was we had conquered a table early and we would take it in turns running to the tents and grabbing a few drinks out of each and filling our "Bucket" we had, this way we kept the table and we kept the drinks flowing! The process worked well until about 7/8ish when people were starting to get a bity tipsy and mingling, we still used the bucket but it wasn't as in much use as previously established, I do partially remember dancing around the bucket at one point in the music barn.

When we first started drinking one of our mates Joe got his Ukelele from the tent and we had a little sing along, However to every song he played I could have easily just sang 'somewhere over the rainbow'.

Might I just add that this guy is amazing, sadly he only lived to 38, but the guy has touched many hearts and produced some excellent music, this and his other songs truly bring a tear to my eye, ( See 'white sandy beach') R.I.P Israel Kamakawiwoʻole, musical genius.

More drinks were consumed and I felt like I would get on the rum pretty soon, it was like 6/7pm more people were arriving and the session was in full swing, I fashioned a pretty little cup out of my can of cider, although it probably would of been better if I had finished the can first, oops. Here's a pic of my masterpiece goblet!

The rum and coke was cracked out and many drinks were had, live bands began to play and people were dancing, drinking, mingling etc, it was a decent evening.

The theme for this years event was "Disguise",(I think) Myself and Frank had blue overalls on and looked "Painter-ish", Tom had green overalls and was the "Janitor", he even brought a mop along, which ended up being dipped in mud, drinks, random crap and forced into various peoples faces, namely the "Suck the mop, Frank" incident. Many a "lol" were had. Joe was a pirate, there was a variety of fancy dress and some funny ideas.

Can't keep me away from the old faithful, Sainsburys basic rum!

Earlier in the day I backhanded Tom in the nuts, for the jokes, which was funny but it did now mean he does indeed owe me one free hit later, we were dancing happily to a band at about 9-10ish( I am guessing all times here as I was utterly gazeebo'd) when I took a full powered right hook to the nuts....Never felt so much pain in my life, I felt like I was going to thrown up and had to excuse myself to cry a little inside, my poor babys were throbbing for like 5 mins, all in the name of a crazy game, we called it even and shook hands after though.

I did bump into a lovely lady friend, she was 27 and a teacher, but I am not going to bore you with details, I am not one for kissing and telling, Zing!

We regrouped as the last music act was finishing up and Abe was announcing the best disguise, our boy Tom won it and immediately drunkenly pulled himself on the stage, Abe then took him for a shoulder ride through the crowd to show off his outfit, he was loving it.

Tom (Janitor) sharing his mop with Sam, our Bobbo in the background too :)

Once the music had ended we bundled into one of the tents and chatted for a bit, two of the girls and one of the lads streaked, which was pretty hilare, I wont name names as I am not sure if they would appreciate it, we went to bed pretty late I am not sure what time it even was, apparently I was just sleeping on our next door campers' lounger, I just remember waking up at about 6-7am walking to the toilets and chundering everywhere, I mean I sank 14 ciders and some rum n coke...I did well. once I had gotten it all outta my system I went back to sleep for another 2 or so hours.

All in all fookin epic day/night...great fun, great banter and great company! I'll drink to that!

Bit of a long post I know but I had a lot to talk about.

Friday 17 June 2011

Wow, Sweeped Much!?

I was bored this morning so decided to tidy up my desktop, I then decided to go through every folder on my computer and sort them into subfolders, delete old crap and remove unwanted programs, I ended up deleting like 30 gig's worth of stuff and re ordering my whole HD in like an hour,

Haha check the file count on one selection.

First clean up in 3 years on this laptop. :)

June 17th - Siblings, Adams Family, Karate Kid, Grease and Tingz

Today started at about 8am when I got up and had a shower, a bowl of cereal then drifted back off into a deep sleep, my sister was graduating for the second time, finishing her PGCE course at one of cambridges finest colleges ;) my dad dropped me a text to see if I could look after the siblings when they got in from school so that him and Kate could be present at the ceremony so I napped until like 2pm before getting up properly.

I headed over to my dads for 3 o'clock where I met my bro Thomas, we then walked over the road to get Lizzie and Fred from school then went back to the house and settled down and watched "The Adams Family : Family Values" which is an old time favorite of mine, great story line, awesome cast and great for the kids.

Dad and Kate got back at like half four-ish but had decided they would be going out for dinner with Emma and Tom (Big Tom, the BF) if I could stay for longer, they offered pizza and chicken strips from Domino's so I could hardly say no! Pizza arrived and we settled down to watch the new version of Karate Kid, the one with mini Smith. Another great film, brilliant acting by the kid and by Jackie Chan...who looks a little aged in the film..I mean the guy is like 54? Still got the skills though, aging well!

We then watched Grease, which if you haven't seen..pshh you haven't lived. It made me remember the time I was in a production of Grease, oh the joys of being a youngster in school and holiday productions...those days are long gone, although I still know the songs and the dances to most of them I was in, haha such a sadact.

Just chilling back at home now watching "Law and Order" with Martha for a bit before heading to bed, Busy day tomorrow :)

Please note that I've had to write this with a grown dog sat shivvering on my lap, poor lass Gypsy is scared of the fireworks and needs her big Will to keep her safesies!

June 16th - Day of sleep, Xbox n Jackass 2

As stated previously I was indeed up all of the night on my lappytap playing GemCraft, I really don't know why, I guess when in the game I just lose all track of time, oh and the fact I slept all day yesterday and was very awake, I finally packed it in at like 9:30 ish in the morning when I popped downstairs for a bowl of cereal, my nan nearly had a heart attack, she is not used to seeing me awake before noon..I got some breakky then headed upstairs for a sleep.

I slept through until about 5ish before getting up to a nice bit o' pig for dinner...

After dinner I played a few rounds of COD but I was getting pissed off by campers and noob-tubers, not to mention the lack of "friends" online, it always sucks joining random games which consist of camping, ghost using, fucks, or you roll a team with little to no skill..heck I would rather take my friend Mike on my team than play with these nubs...and if you knew mike you would understand how much of a "lol" he is :)

I jest Mike, you had a good run last time we were on!!

I have just finished watching Jackass 2, which until now I had never seen before. I really do love the new stunts and pranks, they really topped the first movie and I need to see the 3rd to see if they continued the trend of bigger and better stunts.

My favourite stunts and pranks from the movie have to be the "Gauntlet" where they all skate/bike down one ramp and across the skate park whilst the rest of the gang are swinging big black basher things, on one of their turns Weeman is hanging on the rope and swings in taking the lad clean out...the BEST part of this stunt is for the final run a blindfold is worn, skating down you all expect him to have ten shades of shit knocked out of him yet down to some magic and well timed skating the fella glides through missing every obstacle.

The next of my fave's is the taxi prank they pull, they talk Ehren McGhehey into dressing up as a terrorist with fake bombs strapped to his chest and calling a taxi to take him to the airport, little does he know that the prank is actually on him, the taxi driver is in on the prank and has been told to start beating on the guy and pull out a gun.

They make him a beard using their pubes (he is not informed of this until the end of the prank) which just adds extra hilarity, he gets forced in the boot of the taxi and the rest of the gang make sounds as if they have just confronted the driver to explain but instead a shoot out ensues, the taxi speeds off and drives around in circles a few times before pulling up and letting him out to reveal he just got got.

All of the stunts and pranks I thought were ace and would definitely like to watch the newest movie Jackass 3D! Call me a slacker and not with the times? Pssh never got around to it so leave me be!

Just chilling now and watching "Omen III: The Final Conflict" the last chapter in the Omen trilogy, if you have never seen the films I really do recommend them to you. Will the monks save the day..I hope so!

Xbox, Ya-know!

Yet another all-nighter on that bloody GemCraft...What is wrong with me, I moped about most of the day and had some lush pig for dinner! Pig, Mash, Carrots...Jobs a gooden!

I have a few topics I will be talking about later but for now I am going to play xbox, if any followers have Xbox Live do feel free to add for funsies.

GillyMcCuzz,

Old Tomma Kill :)

June 15th - Sleep, Chicken and Call of Duty.

I didn't sleep last night for some crazy reason, was up playing bloody GemCraft until about 11am ish before finally throwing in the towel and passing out, I was awoken by Martha "Dinners Ready" I rolled over and it was 6pm, haha gotta love a good ol' day in bed.

For dinner we had chicken, potatoes and veg, was tasty stuff...I really don't see how some people don't like/eat chicken, you are fools...the lot of you!

After dinner I went upstairs upstairs and hopped on my xbox, my ol' boy Tommy was on and we played some games, we had a surprisingly good run, racking some decent KPD's, poor Tommy had hiccups throughout which was pretty hilare, he ended up quitting as he felt ill!

I then wandered down stairs to watch "The Escapist" and how I am glad that I did.

Frank Perry is an institutionalized convict fourteen years into a life sentence without parole. When his estranged daughter falls ill, he is determined to make peace with her before it's too late. He develops an ingenious escape plan, and recruits a dysfunctional band of escapists - misfits with unique skills required for their daring plan and united by desire to escape their hell hole of an existence.

The film is amazing, I would definitely recommend it for you all to watch. The story line, setup, choice of actors and the way it is filmed all add up to a great watch. Go check it out.

Below is the trailer.

Just chilling watching "The Big Bang Theory" and blogging and reading a few articles and shiz, then off to bed,
God Speed!

GemCraft Labyrinth!

Haha fuck me I didn't go to bed at all last night because I was playing this goddamn game!

I didn't even know this version existed as I had only played the one I talked about previously.

The game is soo bloody addictive, I am a level 22 wizard.

Bloody good banter!

Play it here!

God Speed,

Also, it turns out it was the outside "earthing" lark which was causing me to get electrified yesterday, I am all electrocution free in here :)

Tuesday 14 June 2011

Shocking Fun!

Was sat in the garden happily lappytapping and suddenly took a shock to my pinky, my arm flailed in the air and I was all "WTF" being stupid and curious I poked the headphone jack on my Acer where I thought the shock originated..oh look just shocked myself again!

I looked around the interwebs, and found fook all help, I thought it could be the fact I am using an extension lead as I was sat in the garden, so I moved into the shed and plugged lappy direct into the wall, the power cable shocked me before I could even plug it in..Having been shocked approximately 5-8 times I decided to turn my laptop off and move to the upstairs computer, did a bit more searching and came across some "Earthing" lark, I plugged my cable in upstairs and poked the connection, I guess this is a pretty stupid thing to do, poking a lead that has already electrocuted me various times, nothing happened.

I assume the electrical wiring and set up down the garden is different to that in the house, I will attempt to connect my laptop up later and let you know if I get a shock!

Just filling you in with my action packed day!

June 14th - GemCraft, Blood and MafiaReturns

I've been up for a fair bit today, however my plan to sleep early and wake up early was pointless because waking up at 10am and having shit all to do in the day was not the greatest feeling.

Spent a fair bit of the day playing on GemCraft, it's addictive and challenging, pretty much nailed it though!

One of my friends was a douche today and cut her fingernail whist shaving, So a shout out to that nublet, I mean unless you are being a douche and fingering your razor you shouldn't be getting all bloody and fingerless. Picture is her finger, She doesn't know I robbed it. So shhh.

Lovely artistic picture though! Shame about the process to achieve such art.

Also, I think it is about time for me to come out of the closet! Ah Jokes...not the gay closet, the closet of being a MR player.

For many ...maaaaaaaaaaany years now I have been a fan of text based role play games (don't judge) and one I have been playing for for a long time is MafiaReturns,

MafiaReturns is a text based RPG set in the late 20's early 30's (prohibition era), you get by through dealing drugs, whacking punks, building cities, demolishing others! It takes time to get into but hey Rome wasn't built in a day! Once you are on your feet the game really does open up to a variety of possibilities, honor, deceit, trickery..use it all to become the best!

Since joining I have made hundreds of new friends, many of who I speak to on a daily basis to share banter, have a chit chat and in general have a laugh with. It really is not like all the other games where the Admin are a bunch of dicks who are always behind the scenes and never get the user-base involved in changes, adjustments or competitions etc etc ( I mean Anubis is a douche of course but we do love him still).

I even reached the games highest rank (for the first time ever, and probably the last) a while back and was a beautiful Godfather, it was a great feeling...but after all it IS the mafia and wars happen, I died. Oh well made a new character and got back on it.

So I welcome you all to come along and give it a try, if you do happen to join up and stay, great! If you sign up and don't like it? least you tried! I am now known as Chuckie on there if you do drop by.

Cheers to followers,
<3

GemCraft- Am I the only one?!

Eh short post here for my gaming followers,

If you do not know what GemCraft is...well I can show you to the door.

GemCraft is an awesome game to say the least, it's a pretty basic Tower Defense game, where you are a "Wizard" (Harry) and have to create gems using mana (which you get from kills and auto slow regen) you can then combine gems to get better attack, be it splash, poison, freeze etc...you place the gems in the towers and jobs a gooden..

Soooo...any other GemCrafters out there? or you know any decent TD games I should be playing? Comment and Follow :)

To play GemCraft go here (Warning it's ADDICTIVE!)

June 13th - Rachel, Flybe & Plans Ahoy!

Genius thinking lead to me not even sleeping last night, you see the logic (supposedly) is that I can go to bed tonight at a suitable time to try correct my cackhanded sleeping pattern, we shall see!

I had some breakfast pretty early and just moped around not doing an awful lot, it was my little cousin Molly's first Ballet exam today and she was off school for the morning so she could do it, they popped into ours on the way to say hi, Molly was pretty excited and seemed ready, baring in mind she is only 6...

We chatted for a bit then Molly and my aunt left for her exam, I went upstairs and dossed about on my laptop browsing the wonderful wide web, fascinating place indeed.

It had been suggested that my ol' pal Connor, who flew over from Ireland in April for my surprise 21st birthday, was to visit me over summer, so I had been looking around for flights and decent deals. I had to bare in mind Connor was a lazy ass and doesn't sleep normal, like myself, so the odds of the leprechaun catching a 7-8AM flight were looking slim, even though they cost a 1/3rd of the price :/

I wandered downstairs at about half one and Molly had just gotten back from her exam, her hairwas all tied up nicely, like ballerinas do (no idea on the professional term and I am too lazy to google it) I asked how she got on, to which she replied with a wide smile and two thumbs up, I assume that means she "Nailed It!". I got some lunch then went upstairs to play with my Rubik's cube and try sort some of my crap out.

I had recently been introduced to one of Connors friends from back home, her name was Rachel, she seemed like a pretty standard lass, and word is she was meant to come over for my birthday too but didn't manage too....Connor had this idea of giving her to me for my birthday or something, you never know with that guy, anyway chatted to Rachel and tried to figure out when is best for them to come over but it's her dads birthday and her birthday in the weeks I looked at which kinda messed up all the recent searches I had done (took like 2 hours)....to summarize, nothing has been booked or set in stone yet. I need to convince these chomo's to get up earlier and save pennies!

Had some pretty tasty Chicken pie for dinner, always a gooden!

Played some xbox for a few hours but couldn't concentrate so I am actually off to bed before midnight for the first time in months! See you on the flip side.

Sunday 12 June 2011

June 12th - 2 Roasts, COD & AWOL Porkers!!

Today got off to a slow start at like 3pm again as I didn't have much planned, Martha yelled up the stairs "Dinner will be ready in 10 minutes" You would never see me leap out of bed so quick, why you ask? It's a Sunday you cracka! Sunday roasts are the climax of my life! Lamb, tatties, stuffing, pudding, carrots all the trimmings...boy was it good! I do love me a good sunday roast!

After nomming down on some epic roast I went upstairs for a shower, I got a text off my mumma saying they were headed over to Moyra and Tony's for dinner, it was Tony's birthday! I agreed to tagging along as it is always nice to see the crew from the other side, arrangements were made for picking me up in two hours time, so I got dressed then got a cheeky few hours of COD with my main man Tommy, I am not going to lie, I was LIVID with the matches we played, Tommy is a slag you see and sold his copy of Black Ops so we were playing MW2 and because I had been playing Blops all weekend I wasn't up to scratch and there are a few little things that really rile me over on MW2, noob-tubers for starters, not to mention the fact when I shotgun someone in the face they still manage to kill me :/ I could rant for a bit but I wont bore you with that!

The time came and my mumma arrived with John, Chloe and Chelsea, we headed over to Moyra's to see the clan! We were there for a good few hours and I managed to nab myself a SECOND Sunday roast, haha get in! It was tasty and for dessert I had some toffee pavlova and ice-cream, we watched "Popstar to Operastar" which was actually rather enjoyable and we I got dropped back to my nans at 9ish.

I headed straight upstairs and got on with my Double XP gaming! played on COD til about 2:30AM then headed down stairs to watch some T.V there was naff all on, so instead I put "Eastenders Omnibus" on which Martha had recorded on the hard drive.

Bill for phone was due today, got a text off Orange so I tried to go on the website as it was all "Go to website and pay manz!" so I log in and I am met with a shit screen which read the following.

"We're sorry, this service isn't available right now. That's because our technical guys are making some planned changes to improve the service you get in future. We're working to get it back up and running by (date and time), please could you try again then?"

Cheers Orange, I am pretty sure the whole Idea of having the brackets was to inform me of the date and time you would be up and running, you stupid fucking eejits, well player Orange, well played.

Ugh.

I read some funny news today about pigs in Russia, made me laugh.

"Escaping pigs cause traffic jam in Siberian city." I saw this header and was hooked, everyone loves a good tale of AWOL porkers! The article goes on...

"Eight pigs tipped their trailer over and fled when they all rushed over to the same side - after smelling blood from an abattoir that they had been driven to."

These pigs got skills! A bit of team work and they managed to overturn their trailer and run wild!

"Two of the pigs are still on the run in Novokuznetsk, Russia, where they caused a huge traffic jam on the bridge they were travelling over."

I love how they say "still on the run" as if they are fugitives who have just escaped from captivity..RUN FREE PIGGIES!!!!

Anyhow folks, sadly that's all I've got for today! See you on the flip side!

Share/Follow etc etc <3

June 11th - Xbox, Curry & BNP

Today started at like 3pm as I couldn't be arsed to get up. I partially remember My cousin Molly came sneaking into my room with some chocolate orange fudge and jumped on me at some random time in the day going "barbara barbara, would you like a bit of fudge" I am all..."Dang"...couldn't of been plain :/ I am not a fan of orange chocolate. I rolled back over until like 3 ish.

I wandered down stairs and made a sammich, with some ham and cheese, however I must say....pre sliced bread, ahah jogon! We do it proper in this house! Unsliced, fresh baked bread from le bakers, you can tell when I've made a sammich because I can't cut to save my life, don't even try and tell me it is easy because it aint! youve got to really concentrate when holding the loaf and sawwing off a lush slice!

Anyway moving on, sammich made! Eaten and enjoyed! Pack of "Salt your own" seen off too, and successfully got a sachet of salt today! It's a bleedin miracle!

Lunch was done so it was time to get in a few hours on COD, Can't forget that it is double XP weekend and a prime time to get some easy levels, In my own opinion and from personal experiences the best game to play is Headquarters because you can easily rack 15k XP a game! (Just a hint if you are reading :P)

Played a lot of xbox then had a nice Curry for dinner with my Nan, G-unit and Emma, Chicken Tikka Masala and a Peshwari Naan.....Jobs a gooden!!

Played some more xbox then watched a T.V programme called "Injustice" which I thought was bloody brilliant, On the surface William Travers is a picture of success. An accomplished criminal barrister happily living with his wife in rural Suffolk. However, Travers is still recovering from a traumatic series of events that have shaken his belief in the legal system, basically he is an ace barrister, but also he shoots a guy, and then kills another guy...it's all very interesting and I would definitely suggest it to you for viewing.

Martha and G (nicknames for my nan and grandad if you hadn't clocked) have headed up to bed (12:30) and I am now just watching crap on T.V.

Was watching a comedy show and one of the chaps mentions the BNP, and their website so I was just having a bit of browsing, I came across a few things which made me laugh and think to myself "Are these guys foreal" I mean some of the things they say seem semi-plausible but fuck me, the rest...haha jokes. Anyhow I will let you be the judge.

"The BNP wishes to portray itself as a party tough on crime, untainted by the political correctness of the other mainstream parties. They would bring back the death penalty, introduce automatic prison sentences for repeat offenders and electronically tagged chain gangs to provide labour (source: BNP mini manifesto 2007). They seek to create a new culture of discipline by restoring corporate punishment in schools, bring back national service and require each adult to own a standard issue military assault rifle."

Eh, I am all for death penalty if someone has truly deserved such punishment, so no arguments there, the automatic prison sentences I am partial to, if it is serious of course lock the shits up! The next part just makes me laugh "electronically tagged chain gangs to provide labour"..oh boy foreal? haha these guys are a joke, I am in some agreement to corporate punishment, but eh does seem a little harsh, as for national service I must object, we have people who want to fight for Britain, some people don't have the willpower or energy or smarts to tackle such tasks, but eh fuck it we will bring it back and equip the whole nation with assault rifles! Great work there tackling crime and gun culture guys giving every Tom, Dick and Mohammed a standard issue military assault rifle....

Bah they are idiots, anyway moving on!

Breaking news, My previous post including my solving the rubik's cube video inspired a friend of mine to learn how to solve it, we spoke a few times talking about tactics on solving the cube, he was so excited when I spoke to him today, he had finally cracked it, so excited to show off his success he too made a video and uploaded it to YouTube! I was his Second viewer (I assume it counts your own IP as a viewer :P) but anyway I was really pleased with the chap, however a little concerned...

Throughout the video you can see him solving aforementioned cube but he has no head! oh shit son...I assume he was a little shy or maybe he has an ugly mug, I will never know..but here is the video of my buddy solving the rubiks cube, takes the slacker 5 minutes but in all fairness when I first cracked it I was spending about that long on it, give it a few weeks he will be doing it in 2-3 mins easy as pie!

Here's his video, have a gander :)

Also, in case you were curious here is the days of the week in Japanese!!

Monday = Getsuyobi
Tuesday = Kayobi
Wednesday = Suiyobi
Thursday = Mokuyobi
Friday = Kinyobi
Saturday = Doyobi
Sunday = Nichiyobi

And with that I bid you farewell, until tomorrow my pretties x x

Friday 10 June 2011

June 10th - Double XP!

Today I couldn't be arsed to get up until about 3ish, nothing on the agenda....

I got some practise in on COD in wait for the Double XP weekend which starts at 6pm and moped about doing fook all :/

Had some lovely dinner consisting of pork in breadcrumbs and new potatoes, peas and carrots, which were superb, then returned to playing COD Black Ops until about 2AM..

As you can see...not a very eventful day. Apologies, the first view posts I made were action packed and a good read, it's all gone a bit sloppy and for that I am sorry.

However I do have a few things I can pull out of my sleeve!! The first being....dun dun dun.....Drumroll Please!

Penis Fencing!! (thanks, www.interestingfacts.org)

Penis fight, also referred as penis fencing, is basically a mating activity performed by certain species of flatworm, for example Pseudobiceros hancockanus. These flatworms are mainly hermaphrodites, i.e. a species not having a specific sex. Each individual flatworm features two penises which are white and pointed. Being hermaphrodites, each individual possesses both - ovaries to produce eggs and testes to produce sperms.

To perform the act of mating through penis fencing, each of the two flatworms attacks the other with its pair of sharp penises that feature the shape of a two-headed dagger. The process involves an aggressive battle during which both the flatworms try to pierce the other one's skin with one of their penises. The defeated one is inseminated by the winner organism, which moves away from the brutal one night stand scotch free. The skin of the loser organism absorbs the sperm through pores of skin, thereby resulting in fertilization and then child bearing.

The act of Penis Fencing is the strangest feature surrounding flatworms. Just because these are born as hermaphrodites that feature both male and female parts, certain genus of flatworms must get involved in an activity to decide on roles as male and female. The act of penis fencing is necessary for child bearing so as to continue with the species. However, the process demands a substantial amount of time and energy from both the organisms involved, more commonly the mother. None of the organism, therefore, desires to play the female part just for the reason that pregnancy is very strenuous on their body.

Bet you didn't know that! Don't they look so cute though?I kinda want them as my pets...

And now for some funny news I came across today...

"Nearly a dozen British holidaymakers and flight crew were questioned by police after a large mid air brawl broke out on a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to Barbados."

I mean the fact these guys had a brawl...in the SKY! It's amazing Geoff!! They were all drunk as fuck and 30,000 feet up when the incident occured, throwing punches and coffee and things at other people on the plane....

Imagine being on that plane, what on earth would be going through your head seeing a brawl..."Someone call security!".

"On Friday, three members of the same family, who had been drinking, were fined £2300 by a court and banned from ever flying with the airline after they admitted their part in the fight that occurred at 30,000 feet.

Martin and Zoe King and her father Derek Edmonds, 76, pleaded guilty to being part of the “vicious” brawl, which occurred towards the end of the eight-hour flight."

It gets better! You should see some of the onlookers responses when interviewed about the "Brawl"...some of them are golden!

The first, which made me laugh, was this.

"When the fight first started I thought it was an act of terrorism."

Aww, I am fairly certain terrorists don't act in that manner especially in the last hours of the flight, I am pretty sure they get in and get it done...BOOM jobs a gooden, not hang around for 6 hours before causing a fuss and throwing drinks and swearwords left right and center!

"it was vicious. It was frightening. There were punches going off in all directions. I never expected to see something like that."

I kinda wish someone had filmed it now, sounds like it was a fight to watch, some old dear, aged 70 said it was like a movie, bless her.

Moving on....

A few films released this month which look pretty decent are as follows :

Trollhunter, released today, it's about a group of film students that set out to capture real-life trolls on camera after learning their existence has been covered up for years by a government conspiracy. It's on my "to see" list, looks like a good shout.

Bad Teacher, is out June 24th, it's a comedy centered around a foul-mouthed, junior high teacher who, after being dumped by her sugar daddy, begins to woo a colleague -- a move that pits her against a well-loved teacher. This does look pretty hilare, deffo one to look out for!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon, out June 29th...Looks AMAZING! I really don't know what to say, it really does look like it is going to be a great film, the Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets..It's going to be in awesome 3D as well!! Bring it ON!

Make sure you check out the trailers for these films!!

Just watching Ugly Betty for now then off to bed before another action packed CODing day, gotta prestige yaknow! :)

Thursday 9 June 2011

June 9th - Barbara!!

Today hasn't been a productive day, I woke up at 2pm, my new replacement charger for laptop arrived and I linked it up, turns out I just needed a new charger which was good so now I am back with my own laptop, it's been over a month and I am glad to have my baby back!

We headed over to Willingham, which is a little village outside of Cambridge where I used to live, my Aunt lives there with her hubby Mike and their four kids Lily, Evie, Harry and Molly, my Nan and G-unit pop over every Thursday to see them, the gradparents "Thursday" has become a tradition over time, myself and bro Charles and sister Emma used to see them every Thursday when we were littlens, we arrived just in time to pick the youngest three up from primary school.

Evie came out first and said hi before walking home with her mate, Molly could see me waiting outside her classroom with nana and I could see the smile on her face when she first spotted me, she was edging to leave, when the classroom door finally open she comes running out screaming "Barbara" and gave me a big hug.

I guess I should explain the nickname Barbara which I have when I am around my aunts, a few years back we were all just chilling and Molly was being annoying like any 4 year old is, and she wouldn't leave me alone, she was going "Will, Will, Will, Wiilllllllll" I tried my best to ignore her but she was persistent, I turn to her and say "My names not will anymore" to which she replies "What is your name" and for some reason the name Barbara popped into my head and before I could compute it was spewed from my mouth, so yeah...I am known as barabara now to my aunt and cousins, I don't mind because I am cool like that.

Anyway back to my day, we hopped in the car and waited for nana and harry to get in before driving to my aunts house, we chilled for a bit and I played nintendo DS with my cousin Harry and helped him get some more % completed on Lego Batman, which I must add is quite an enjoyable game, the other kids watched some rubbish on the tv and nothing exciting happened really, dinner was about 6ish and we had "slices" and chips, I had a beef and onion slice which was yummy!

Dessert consisted of "yum yums" and other tasty goodies, we left and were home by like 7-7:30. I headed straight upstairs to play some xbox, I played xbox for a solid few hours then chilled on my laptop checking out the interwebs,

I must apologize for the lame day I had today, well it wasn't lame for me as I got to see some fam, but for you readers, not a lot has happened.

I guess for a bit of filler I can add some interesting videos, containing myself, as this is all about me :)

First and foremost, my youtube debut, my lip-singing to backstreet boys, haha was filmed many a moon ago and still provides good entertainment for all ages...

Next up we have a music video I made in tribute to a friend of mine, Parker Case is in the band and I made this video for one of their songs whilst at uni and bored.

Lastly a repost of my video of solving the Rubiks cube, again at uni and bored :)

Once again thankyou for viewing, I should be doing something exciting tomorrow, I promise!!

June 8th - Raye-yayayayaye-yock

Wowzer, writing this entry pretty late, it's half past midnight. I must apologize as today hasn't been that great, I've not really done or seen anything majorly "OMG WOW" today but please bare with me, I promise I will dropkick my neighbours dog or set the postbox on fire tomorrow to make up for it.

The day started pretty late at an amazing 2pm, rolled outta bed and had a shave and shower, looking fresh for the first time in a few days, I printed off 10 or so C.V's and wandered int otown to hand a few out and enquire in a few places, I can't be arsed to bore you with specifics but no luck as of yet on the job front, a few places told me they would hold onto my C.V until they needed people, oh well, I slumped back home for about 4pm.

Played a few rounds of xbox and then my buddy from Uni, Tommy, came on and we played merrily together on MW2, I did say at the start of this that my day hadn't been packed full of exciting adventures, Dinner was at sometime around 6ish we had some tasty ham and mash and carrots, was pretty delish.

I had been browsing facebook and seen one of my friends statuses which read the following:

Connlaoth SekretName
haha all sellers of the big issue to receive iphone 5 work phones what next?

This made me chuckle a little and I had to Google it as you never know with our Connlaoth, I was baffled with the results I came across, this was actually going to be put in place after the iPhone 5's release on 21st of November, here's a little snippet from the site I came across.

"homeless people who sell The Big Issue street newspaper will soon be equipped with brand new smartphones, enabling them to go beyond being mere vendors, acting as news gatherers – just like the journalists who work for the BBC.

Vendors will be blogging, Tweeting, Facebooking and snapping digital images and audio of the action all over the country after the launch of the iPhone 5, according to John Bird, MBE, the entrepreneur who founded the Big Issue, to put the homeless back on track."

Read more:

What a crazy world we live in eh? Giving the homeless people an iPhone, why not give them a house??

Anyway moving on, another friend of mine's status read this:

Zora Sekretnamehere
Right The Human Centepede 2 has been banned, so who is going to find a way to get it for me?

This statement alone made me laugh, you must have seen the first "Human Centipede" where a nutjob scientist kidnaps and mutilates three tourists, re-assembling them to create his new "pet" -a human centipede, created by stitching their mouths to each others' rectums....in all fairness the film is utter shit, but a decent watch if you are into sick and twisted films. ( who isn't??)

The second film (of a rumoured 3) has been banned by the British Board of Film Classification's in Britain whenever it is finally released (which I'm not sure if it has been yet), this film will be 1 of 14 films banned by the BBFC, ever. ( or so I am lead to believe)

The BBFC have said that it may not be screened, distributed on DVD, or even made available via the Internet since it “poses a real, as opposed to a fanciful, risk that harm is likely to be caused to potential viewers.”...I mean, this is a joke right? It's a fucking film for christ sakes, fair play if people don't like it or parents don't want their kids to watch it, but banning the film completely?

Kind of a nub error if you ask me, firstly and foremost, if something is "Banned" people will want to see it, I bet half of Britain didn't know "The Human Centipede" existed, but now they've heard the second is going to be banned they would have watched the first one and will now be all "omgwtfbbqsauce I need to see this 'banned' film"...I could rant for a while but eh, lol @ BBFC.

Fun Fact : When I saw a comment earlier today with "BBFC" I had no idea what it referred to, I just thought they were talking about the BB"Fucking"C, simple mistake I guess.

Thought I would list the other films banned from Britain. Some of these bans were lifted years after original banning, but some are indeed still banned.

1932–1963 Freaks

Rejected by British censors and banned. It was again rejected for a cinema rating certificate in 1952. Available from 1963 - passed with an X rating.

1954–1967 The Wild One

Banned from distribution in the United Kingdom until 1967.

1960–1968 Black Sunday

Mario Bava's film was banned due to its violent content until 1968.

1968–1988 The Trip

Roger Corman's film was banned due to its glorification of LSD. It was later unbanned, but not released in Britain until 1988.

Banned by the BBFC until 2002 and not passed uncut until 2008.
1973–1990 The Exorcist

Not banned per se, but Warner decided not to submit the film for classification for a few years following the video nasty crisis. It was not until 1990 that the film was finally submitted and passed with an 18 rating.

1973–2000 A Clockwork Orange

Not banned as such but withdrawn two years after its release by its own director, Stanley Kubrick. This was not because of the copycat violence allegedly inspired by the film, as commonly believed. Kubrick received death threats against his family, and arranged to withdraw the film from UK cinemas. It was not allowed to be shown again in the United Kingdom until after his death. Throughout the decades the film acquired a mythical status in the country, until Kubrick died in 1999 and the ban was finally lifted.

Banned; it was passed uncut in 1999.

Umberto Lenzi's film was banned. Passed in 2003

1989–present Visions of Ecstasy

Banned under blasphemy laws, it is the only film ever to be banned in the UK due to blasphemy. Since the UK's blasphemy laws were repealed in 2008, the film is likely to be passed in the near future.

Banned; passed uncut in 2004

1993–present Mikey

Rejected by the BBFC for a certificate in 1996; a trailer had been previously classified 18 four years before. In the aftermath of the widely-publicised murder of Jamie Bulger, the BBFC (on the guidance of three child psychiatrists) banned the film because it features a child as a killer (which they believed might cause children who watched it to act violently).

2009–present Grotesque

Banned due to a high level of sexual torture.

Not really done an awful lot else today, read up about the films I've just mentioned, and added most to my "must see" list. I love how things getting banned makes me want to watch them more, linking all the names took me ages, as the films are named differently and shiz.

Oooh another thing I watched today was Episode 7 of Game of Thrones which was bloody brilliant, an exciting twist in this episode, need to get ep 8 which came out this week.

I then watched the Tenacious D movie, which makes me crease each and every time, the starting song Kikapoo made me think of my uni buddy "Kiko" who always sings that song and plays in on his guitar, also anything with Dio in is bound to be AMAZING.

With the film over I then played some more xbox with my buddy Tommy (wow two mentions in one blog) until midnight, then I wandered down stairs made a ham sammich and sat down to watch "The Whole Ten Yards" which is a funny film to say the least, with Matthew Perry and Bruce Willis.

The film is just about to end and I've just finished this bad boy blog!

Hope you enjoyed the read, follow and share!

Peace out!

EDIT:

Can I just say this guy is a fucking legend, just came on the T.V
